Apprentice
Hi I’m Coop (she/her), you may remember me by my former name Nicola and as the receptionist.
Well here I am after a stressful 3 lockdowns as Cooper the apprentice. Here’s a little bio about little old me and how I managed to finally land my dream job.
My first real job at 16 was working in a tattoo studio back in my home town of Barrow-in-Furness where I worked as the receptionist and also designed tattoos for some clients; this made me realise that tattooing was what I was meant to do in life.
I moved to Manchester in 2008 and worked in various retail jobs to keep myself afloat, but continued to keep up with my passion for drawing and following tattoo artists via social media. After 16 years in retail, I decided it was time to change things and follow my original pursuit.
I was lucky enough to get the job of receptionist at Flesh in 2016 and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. From there I progressed my passion for drawing with help from various artists that have come and gone along the way and created my own style of tattoo designs. I worked extremely hard on my portfolio and my job to get to wear I am now and I couldn’t thank Flesh enough for the opportunity they’ve given me.
I’m currently practicing my skills on fake skin, fruit and friends but will shortly be opening my books to the general public and I can’t wait. Going forward I’d like my style to be extremely colourful ( just like me ) I love anything anime, dinosaurs, Pokemon, Adventure Time, kawaii, Hello Kitty…you get the idea, haha.
Please don’t hesitate to send me all your crazy and fun ideas soon. I can’t wait to meet you all.
